Janet has been performing for as long as she's been alive; it's in her blood. As a small child, she recited poetry and went class-to-class singing for her schoolmates; she has sang and performed at family gatherings throughout her life with her sister. A native Jersey Girl, Janet received a B.S. in Public Relations and an M.Ed. from Boston University before moving to L.A. at age 27.
After a hiatus during the heady college years of the late-1960’s, Janet resumed performing in Los Angeles from 1975-1992 with the music/comedy team of Fink & Grippo, studied Improv. with Actor Lee Garlington, sang in the L.A. Women's Community Chorus and was a founding member of the all-girl rock 'n roll band, The Cherry Cokes. Janet’s most memorable Lyric Theater credits were as The Mayor of Munchkinland in The Wizard of Oz and Sister Jeanette Isabella in The Sound of Music. Community theater appearances include Jake's Women, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Crossing Delancey. She brought the beloved character Ouiser Boudreaux to life in GNOP's inaugural production of Steel Magnolias in 2010, followed by roles in numerous GNOP productions.
Janet lives in Burlington and works for the great Burlington company, Mamava. She merges her business expertise and love of performing to help bring exceptional GNOP productions to the community.
