Girls Nite Out Announces 2011 Production!

(Burlington, VT) – Hallelujah!! Girls Nite Out Productions is thrilled to announce that after a long and exhaustive search, we have decided to present the hilarious comedy, “The Hallelujah Girls,” by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, the comedy team that wrote the “Golden Girls” TV series.

Set in Eden Falls, Georgia, the play follows a group of feisty women who decide to shake up their lives by setting up a spa in an abandoned church. The group gathers every Friday afternoon, and after the loss of a dear friend, the women realize time is precious, and if they’re going to change their lives and achieve their dreams, they better get on with it NOW!! This joyful comedy will make you laugh out loud as the friends rally to overcome many obstacles as they launch their new and improved lives.

Girls Nite Out Founders Jennifer Warwick-Sokolowski and Janet Stambolian are pleased to announce that veteran director, actor and playright Carole Vasta Folley will direct the play, which consists of a cast of six women and two men, stage ages in their ‘50’s and ‘60’s. We will hold auditions in the spring (if it ever comes), and the production will run October 6-9 at the Black Box Theater on the beautiful waterfront in downtown Burlington.
